We have a blue heron that visits our pond. The other day, he made an appearance.
What a fabulous looking bird. I like to watch him. He can stand stock-still for long minutes at a time, looking into the pond. The fish must be stirring in there since the surface has de-frosted. Hooray! I saw my first robin the other day. Can spring be coming soon? I hope so!
I lived 30 years in Texas and only been in the midwest 2 years. I am really needing spring or any kind of sun. I have birds at my feeder (in the snow) and wondered how in the earth they survive the cold. Love your heron. We see them occasionally at our pond in the back as well. In response to your other post… love the dress and you will look fabulous in it. Be sure and take a picture!
