I also didn’t take any sedation for my colonoscopy last year. The nurses in the pre-op area all told me I wouldn’t be able to do it, but my nurse when I went into the procedure room turned out to be a nurse I used to work with and she looked at me and said “You’re not going to take any drugs, are you?” It was a little uncomfortable a few times and one place where it was really painful for about 45 seconds. I was able to watch on the screen the whole time and also walked right out as soon as I was done. Of course, with or without sedation, everyone should get their routine screenings!!

I had one 7 years ago at the age of 37!!Not fun atall..My dad had colon cancer and my mom died from the dreaded “C” word…Have you heard about the HALO pap test? They test secretions from your breast to see if you could get cancer in the future…
