I know I'm late for entry into the contest but wanted to share my story anyway. My most memorable moment was when I was 8 or 9 yrs. old and I got my very own doll. We didn't have much money so I always had to share a doll with my 3 other sisters but that year Mom & Dad had a bit extra money and we each got our very own doll. Mine was a Drowsy doll that talked! I loved that doll and still have her. My parents gave so much to us and can't thank them enough for all the sacrifices they made to make our lives easier!

When I was a senior in H.S., my oldest sister had gotten a great job after college and gave me a lavender and gold plaid pleated wool skirt and a gold cashmere sweater and matching cardigan and a wooden chess set and board with a drawer to keep the pieces. It was wonderful. We were on the poor side with six kids and my father an immigrant. I was used to getting one very practical outfit (if I was lucky)and socks and underwear for Christmas.
With three older sisters - all different sizes and heights from me - most of my clothes were hand-me-downs. I learned to sew early in life. These presents from my sister were beyond my wildest fantasties! What a Christmas1

My parent's have a lake cottage in northern Wisconsin and for the past few years, my 2 sisters and brothers and their families go there for Thanksgiving. This is the week of the annual deer hunt also, and of course, my hubby and our 2 sons, dad and brother go hunting. Its just a great feeling preparing the turkey and all the fixings, and hoping that the guys have a successful and safe hunt.

My most memorable gift is diamond earrings that my hubby bought for me....totally not expecting it!

My memorable gift was a new iMac computer and printer which I needed. I really like it and use it throughout the year so it is a lasting gift.

Whoops forgot to tell you my most memorable gift. One of them, as I received so many wonderful gifts was a beautiful Longuine Whitnaur silver watch I recived when I was 16.. My mom and dad had five kids, so this meant a lot to me. They also gave my oldest brother a watch too.. We each thought we had openned the wrong present, because my mom had shown me Rick's watch and she had shown him mine.. So it was a surprise to both of us that we each got a watch..
