Of Note on Television . . . Not that I watch that much. :-)

December 26th, 2009 Posted in Featured, Stef Ann Holm Blog by Stef Ann

So I haven’t made note of what’s on television since the ’90s when I tried to stay up on a variety of weekly shows.  I got burned out on TV, found other things to do with my time.  This fall, I started getting more interested in shows on TV and developed a following.  Here’s a list of viewing that I plan on doing in early 2010.   Read the rest of this entry »

As I sit and make out my Christmas menu for 15 adults and 7 kids, I anticipate making all this yummy food for everyone.  I enjoy cooking.  I enjoy eating.  Then I started thinking about all the good food I’ve eaten this year.   Read the rest of this entry »

My Girls

December 18th, 2009 Posted in Featured, Stef Ann Holm Blog by Stef Ann

My daughters are cool and fun and happy and nice and polite.  I love hanging out with them.  I miss them not living at home.  It wasn’t always like this, and maybe if they did move back, I’d be reminded of all the stuff they did that irritated me.  Such as . . . Read the rest of this entry »

My Daughter Whitney

December 16th, 2009 Posted in Featured, Stef Ann Holm Blog by Stef Ann

Today my daughter has to get some dental work and she’s taking the relaxation drugs so I’ll be picking her up after she’s done.  Poor kid.  She’s almost 23, and she still wanted to come home to mom’s house after I get her.  I have the blankie ready on the sofa, the Jello made, even some apple sauce.  She wants to watch cable since she doesn’t have it at her apartment.  A little more about Whitney is Read the rest of this entry »

Fawn and Nola–Fans Of The Day

December 15th, 2009 Posted in Featured, Stef Ann Holm Blog by Stef Ann

My husband is a very romantic man.  He doesn’t think so, but I’m on the receiving end and I think that flowers for no reason other than “I love you” is top notch in my book.  So yesterday, he comes home with flowers and a darling winter plaque.  That alone would be great, but Read the rest of this entry »

My daughter used to work at Sephora so she hooked me up with products that are awesome.  I thought I’d share in case anyone is struggling to find a gift for a friend, sister or mom.  Or a guy in touch with his feminine side.  LOL.  These are my favorite beauty things.   Read the rest of this entry »

See This Symbol? Respect It

November 23rd, 2009 Posted in Featured, Stef Ann Holm Blog by Stef Ann

Okay, going out on a limb and admitting . . . yes, I have parked in a handicap spot before when I was pressed for time and just needed to get in and out of a store.  Bad me, but I didn’t really feel that bad about the act.  Now that I’m temporarily disabled and have had to live in a world not meant for disabled people:  ”Shame on me!” Read the rest of this entry »

Good-Bye All My Children

November 19th, 2009 Posted in Featured, Stef Ann Holm Blog by Stef Ann

It was the summer of 1970, I was 12.  Flipping channels on the old Zenith, I stumbled across a show that caught my adolescent attention.  It was juicy with gossip, pretty characters, and mystery.  Suddenly, Dark Shadows, my all time favorite drama, had competition.  The show in question was All My Children–a soap opera.
