I’m offering a new contest in honor of Valentine’s Day. Simply post how your husband proposed to you. If you aren’t married, post the most romantic date you’ve ever had. I’ll be picking a winner on February 14. The prize will be a trio set of my Moretti books with the “ALL” titles.

Good luck! And Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!!

My own personal story is this . . .
On Valentine’s Day 2007, my then boyfriend, asked me to take a walk in the neighborhood. It was freezing but I said okay. We walked through the walking paths in the dark–must have been around 9:00pm. He stopped and gave me a hug, held on tight. I didn’t think anything of it. He did seem a little nervous.
We went back to his house, and he asked me to sit in the formal living room–a place we never really hung out. I did, and he wanted me to sit on his lap. I thought this is odd! He gave me a card and I opened it. It read: To My Fiancee on Valentine’s Day.
You have to know my husband–he’s a practical joker and my reply was, “Quit jerking me.” He said no, he wasn’t. And I saw how emotional he was. Then he held out a ring. I was shocked. I can’t even remember what I did, but I do recall saying yes.
And that’s my proposal story! We will be married three years in May and I love him more today than the day he proposed!
My husband was a music teacher at a school where I worked. On Valentine’s Day he entered the teacher’s lounge and put a violin case down on the table in front of me. I questioningly looked at him and he said “Open this when you get home”. Upon opening it, I was so surprised to see a single red rose inside with a note asking me to consider enjoying the music with him for the rest of our lives. It has been a wonderdul sonata.
