I’m excited to announce that LUCY GETS HER LIFE BACK is now available in ebook!

This book was so fun to revisit and read again. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the hero, Drew Tolman, and what a hunk he was/is! The story is about Lucy Carpenter, a single mom from Boise, and her two sons. They relocate to Red Duck, Idaho to begin a new life. Once in town, nothing seems to go right for Lucy–until she meets Drew. He’s a former baseball player who quit under the cloud of scandal–and he’s got his own past he’s trying to straighten out. I hope you’ll check out this book on Amazon. And soon to be available on Nook.

Red Duck, Idaho is based on Sun Valley, Idaho. Did you know that Sun Valley isn’t a “town” per se? Sun Valley is a resort, and if you blink, you’ll pass it. The town of Ketchum, Idaho is connected to Sun Valley and Ketchum is a wonderful place. Boardwalks, shops, and every year in October, the running of the sheep come to town.

I’m putting the final touches on the e-book format of one of my all-time favorites. I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting Red Duck, Idaho and meeting Lucy and Drew all over again. What kind of Hero do you crave?

We saw the movie FLIGHT last night. Ohmygoodness! Loved it. Well, anything Denzel is in is fabulous, and I think this might be my favorite Denzel movie of all time. His acting was top-notch and the character he played was complex. I got to thinking about heros in romance novels.

I prefer the guys who start out imperfect, who you’d never want to get involved with because you think there just isn’t any hope for them, but with the love and encouragement of a good woman, they make a turn around.

In FLIGHT, Denzel has his own demons and I won’t give away how he processes them and what he ends up doing at the conclusion. If you could pick any type of hero to read about, do you like an imperfect man who evolves by the end? Or do you like a hero who’s got it going on from page one, and he sweeps the heroine off her feet?

This book was written when I lived in Seattle and my daughters were 10 and 12. They had a hand in writing their characters, and many of the scenes are things they did as little girls. I had so much fun writing a book that reflected their voices in my house. Of course, I never owned a coffee shop, but I was on a first name basis with the baristas at the local Starbucks. They were great about helping me understand the coffee businesses. Plus, it was nice to have a great cup of joe each day as I visited with the employees about their jobs.

This is my first ebook venture and I’m so excited to share the new cover art with you. It was designed by Streetlight Graphics and I love it! I hope you will too. Drop me an e-mail and let me know!
